East Midlands League
The only match in the league on Sunday took place in the Premier Division, Mansfield
Town picking up their second win of the season with a 2-0 victory over previously
unbeaten Basford Utd with Amy Dawson scoring both goals.
Eastern Region League
Needham Market are up into second place, three points behind leaders Luton Town,
following their 6-2 victory away to King's Lynn Town. Eva Hubbard led the scoring with
a hat-trick and there was one apiece from Eleanor Catchpole, Molly Hall and Paige
Wakefield, whilst Jodie Hopkins-Duckhouse hit a brace in reply. Bowers & Pitsea
defeated Bedford Ladies 5-2 thanks to Maddie Thomas (2), Millie Isherwood, Whitney
Locke and Courtney Fraser. Wroxham completed a full set of away wins in the division
as they edged out Colney Heath by the odd goal in seven, Holly Connell netting twice
along with Keela Olive and Hannah Waters.
Biggleswade Utd made it four wins out of four in Division One North and they
head the table by three points after beating St Ives Town 6-2. The two sides went into the
match level on points but a Haile Richards hat-trick, Tashai Simms double and Nicola
Henman maintained Biggleswade's 100% record. AFC Dunstable are three points off the
pace as they scored five without reply against Fakenham Town, Gemma Whitchurch
scoring a hat-trick and Mollie Burgess adding the other two. Wootton Blue Cross
meanwhile won for the first time, 7-2 over Yaxley Phoenix including goals from Chelsea
Jeffery, Giselle Randall, Jemma Brittain and Elena Lancaster.
The one match played in Division One South did not produce any goals - AFC
Sudbury Res and Grays Athletic battling out a goalless draw which means that the two
teams stay separated by two points in the table.
London & South East League
Millwall Lionesses continue to stretch the pace in the Premier Division and they
notched up their sixth win in seven matches when beating New London Lionesses 4-0.
Otesha Charles, Maisie Joyce, Jade Keogh and Angel Reid were all on target for Millwall
who have now gone two points ahead of Worthing FC Women, who lost their 100%
record when sharing a goalless draw with Dulwich Hamlet. This allowed Fulham FC
Women to catch up ground on them by scoring eight times without reply past Aylesford,
Helen Ogle and Ede Buchele each hitting hat-tricks and Georgia Heasman contributing the
other two. Olivia Watson (2), Sacha Brinkley, Lily Dent and Darcy Wells scored the goals
as Sutton Utd won 5-3 against Dartford, whose replies came from Shauni Griffiths, Amy
Panayi and Elizabeth Adams, whilst Mariangelis Escalona and Lauren Tyler were on target
for AFC Acorns in their 2-2 draw with Saltdean Utd, who netted through Georgia
Bridges and Naomi Robinson.
Division One North leaders Clapton Community were 2-1 winners away to
Watford Development, Olateju Callisto and Annabel Lyons keeping them three points
in front of Dulwich Hamlet Res who beat Hackney 3-0 thanks to Ana De Pellegrin,
Rebecca Hirst and Isata Kamara. Meggie McLoughlin (2) and Ella Bale were on target for
Leatherhead in their 3-1 victory over Sport London e Benfica, whose reply came from
Kimberly Castro, meanwhile Chloe Logie scored all four goals for Brentford as they
defeated Denham Utd 4-2.
The top two in Division One South were not in league action over the weekend,
allowing Hastings Utd to move into second after scoring eight times against Newhaven.
