down a list of Irish pubs that feature authentic Irish music so

that should be interesting. I’m feeling a little sleepy but here

comes dinner (chicken w/apple sauce dressing). There is a

baby screaming a few rows back but there are nuns on board so

I’m sure we’ll get special celestial attention. Baby eventually

               quiets down.

They have little cardboard boxes on a bulkhead shelf for the

little ones to sleep in. The guy next to M is becoming quite a

problem. He is scratching his arms, head and back at first

through his shirt and then reaching inside. YUCK!!!

Is it bugs? Will they jump on M? I suggest that maybe it’s a

nervous condition but it gets worse and drops of blood began to

dot his white shirt from his incessant digging.

               Day 1 in Ireland – June 9th

On Sunday, June 9 , we get off the plane…Thank God. We

hope we have no uninvited guests. After much delay (the Irish

don’t hurry) we get a rental car. I’m driving and the car is sort

               of a pooch (Nissan Sunny

               automatic). Well, driving on the

left is a real deal. It’s fine on the

highway but narrow roads are a

real thrill and of course we have

to do a lot of back tracking

looking for the Clare Inn. When

we finally get there it was a big

hotel on top of a grassy hill that

doubled as a golf course. The weather is not nice! It is

blustery, rainy and cold. I snap a shot of flags and we have a
