Severely Affected Employee
In the case of an employee being severely affected, the following benefits will be made
available:
• Response Time Off (RTO) – 5 days of RTO can be used as needed by the employee. Please
enter this time as RTO when submitting your timecard. If additional time is needed, you
may charge this to Wellbeing.
• Emergency funds – Access to funds in the amount of $1,000 (net payment) to be used by
the employee. These funds can be used to pay for lodging, food, or basic supplies. These
funds are earmarked for situations in which staff and their families may have to evacuate
from their home due to fire, floods, hurricanes, or other natural disasters.
Moderately Affected Employee
In the case of an employee being moderately affected, the following benefits will be made
available:
• Response Time Off (RTO) – 2 days of RTO can be used as needed by the employee. Please
enter this time as RTO when submitting your timecard. If additional time is needed, you
may charge this to Wellbeing.
• Emergency funds – Access to funds in the amount of $250 (net payment) to be used by the
employee. These funds can be used to pay for lodging, food, or basic supplies. These
funds are earmarked for situations in which staff, and their families, may have had damage
to their home or vehicle due to fire, floods, hurricanes, or other natural disasters.
Family Member Directly Affected Employee
In the case of an employee’s immediate family member being affected, the following benefits
will be made available:
• Response Time Off (RTO) – 2 days of RTO can be used as needed by the employee. Please
enter this time as RTO when submitting your timecard. If additional time is needed, you
may charge this to Wellbeing.
Immediate family member is defined as:
• Spouse/Domestic Partner
• Child/Step-Child
• Parent/Step-Parent
• Sibling
• Grandchild
• Grandparent
• Parent-in-law
• Child-in-law
• Sibling-in-law
• Spouse’s or Domestic Partner’s grandparent or grandchild
• An adult who stood “in loco parentis” during employee’s childhood
