The NWF Plan Administrator shall authorize via signature all benefit plan administrative
documents including pension participant enrollments, individual participant plan distributions,
benefit payment authorizations, administrative service fee payments, group medical plan case
management, and group health plan claims exceptions.
Program Related Documents
Litigation Authorizations: The litigation authorization shall be made in compliance with the
Litigation Authorization Policy. Consult with OGC for the procedures and documents required.
NWF Conservation Policy Statements, Lobbying Communications and Action Alerts: The head of
Conservation Programs is authorized to sign Conservation Policy Statements, Lobbying
Communications, and Action Alerts and other managers and directors may also be designated
the authority to sign Conservation Policy Statements, Lobbying Communications, and Action
Alerts. These may be signed in the name of the Vice President, Vice President for Conservation
Policy, Vice President for Conservation Action or the President. A "Conservation Policy
Statement" is a written position on behalf of the Federation such as Congressional testimony,
policy position papers, and similar documents.
Press Releases: Field office directors are authorized to approve and issue local and regional press
releases (except those related to NWF flagship programs); a copy of any release issued should
be immediately provided to the Communications Department. Press releases/statements
involving NWF flagship program activities as well as those for national release require the
advance approval of the Vice President for Communications or a Communications staff member
to whom this responsibility has been expressly delegated.
Gift Acceptance: Gifts may be accepted in compliance with the Gift Acceptance policy.
