Innovative Problem Solver - this award is for individuals who:


          • Participate in collaborative problem-solving, breaking down boundaries and/or creating
             new relationships to improve the way work gets done
          • Embrace change as an opportunity for growth and innovation
          • Plan and implement strategies that are in the best interests of the organization

          • Take a proactive and innovative approach toward finding sustainable solutions to
             business challenges
          • Demonstrate a high degree of financial responsibility coupled with sound judgement
          • Service Excellence Award - this award is for individuals who:
          • Take the initiative to improve the value and efficiency of the services they provide

          • Maintain a consistently high quality of service to NWF customers
          • Anticipate clients' needs and potential problems before they arise
          • Create new, cost-effective and/or innovative methods for performing day-to-day
             operations
          • Serve as role models to others through positive and productive client and colleague
             relationships



        NWF Values in Action Award - this award is for individuals who:

        Demonstrate the core values of NWF through exemplary performance and outstanding
        contribution to the goals of the organization


        Celebrating Staff awards are considerable taxable.


        Appreciation Awards ("quick hit" awards) will be delivered at the time of achievement for a
        specific project, task, or effort.  They come in the form of thank-you notes and $50 gift cards.

        These awards are generally for a special contribution over a relatively short time period.  This
        award lets our staff know that someone has noticed their noteworthy contribution.


        Managers may award these at any given time.



          • Staying late to help someone prepare a presentation for the next day
          • Volunteering to cover for a co-worker who is out sick
          • Going out of your way to help boost morale or create a positive, inclusive work
             environment
          • Exceeding expectations for a goal or milestone in a long-term collaborative project
          • Reducing unnecessary steps and making it easier to get things done



        Our peer to peer recognition is for any member of our staff to recognize anyone at any
        time.  When our employees put in the extra effort to go above and beyond the
        expectations of their job to help the organization succeed, this effort should be
        recognized and should not just come from supervisors and managers, but from peers

        and co-workers.
