Domestic Partner Relationship Policy
The National Wildlife Federation's Equal Employment Opportunity Statement prohibits
employment discrimination based on non-job-related factors such as race, religion, creed,
national origin, ancestry, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity
(including gender nonconformity and status as a transgender individual), age, physical or
mental disability, citizenship, genetic information, past, current or prospective service in the
uniformed services, or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state or
local law. It is the goal of NWF to broaden our Employee Benefits Program to achieve fairness
through recognition of diversity by inclusion of domestic partner relationships. The inclusion
of Domestic Partner (DP) benefits for employee partners of the same or opposite sex,
recognizes a diversity of relationships including those that are not formally acknowledged
through marriage. NWF’s Domestic Partner Policy does not supersede any applicable state or
local law which provides greater benefits to domestic partners.
All active benefit-eligible Regular employees who work at least twenty (20) hours per week are
eligible for benefits under the NWF Domestic Partner Relationship Policy. Regular part-time
employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours per week, Interns, Temporary and On-Call
