Beef Burger Surprise ~ Nora James

Ingredients:
8 oz shortcrust pastry

2 thick beef burgers
1 large Bramley apple

Method:
à lightly cook beef burgers
à cut pastry into 2 portions
à roll out into a circle place burgers in the centre of the pastry
à place a thick slice of peeled Bramley apple on top of the
burger
à bring pastry up all around to cover them both
à brush pastry lightly with egg, and bake in the oven till golden
brown. Gas mark 5
