Some members may question whether these elements are valid
concerns of the society. However as its role as a civic society the
committee feel that the society should be involved in such matters. If
you feel likewise and want to be more actively involved then let us
know. We do need a couple of new committee members to help us be
more proactive. There are now also other local groups becoming
increasing involved in certain issues (Planet Purbeck and Sustainable
Swanage).

We look forward to new members and would be very pleased to hear
from anybody who wishes to be more actively involved or has any
specific interests, queries or skills that may further the work of the
society.

Membership

Currently there are about 100 members listed on the last official
membership list. No membership fees were taken between March 2020
and November 2021 and the first indoor meeting since the start of the
pandemic. Membership fees paid now will run up to the AGM 2023. It is
hoped we can accurately update the membership list now meetings are
being held and members come forward to renew membership and new
members join. Currently Karen Delahay has temporarily taken the role
of membership secretary, previously held by Jane Gladding. The society
