LEARNING MODALITY IN APCAS

The coming School Year 2020-2021 is a challenge to all schools in the midst of the
Pandemic SARS COVID-19. It enables the academic community to embrace the changes
in the landscape of the Philippine Education. The Department of Education (DepEd),
Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the Commission
on Higher Education (CHED) paved the journey to New Learning Modalities in
education.

With the onset of varied modalities designed by DepEd for Basic Education and the
Flexible Learning scheme proposed by CHED for the tertiary education, our school was
able to create its own Learning Landscape which is Flexible Learning for all programs
and levels/grades in our school. The flowchart above is a precise illustration on how
learning will be implemented in APCAS.

The school shall implement Online Learning both synchronous and asynchronous. This
gives the flexibility to students in adapting to the new learning modality. A contingency
mode which is Modular Learning Modality shall be adapted by students who are not able
to join the Online classes for the entire semester or school year.

At the time that this manual was crafted and formulated through collaboration among the
school’s stakeholders, the province of Bataan was under Modified General Community
