little place and I've never really been here. So just thought it would be really nice to
come down and meet the folks, so that's what we're doing.

BiTS: Now tell me something about the absolutely fabulous resonator guitar that

you use. What is it, first of all?

BM: It's an Ozark Resonator. It's a Thinline Biscuit Resonator 3515BTEC, and they
sponsor me, the company, so it's a brilliant little thing that I play. It's very versatile.

I can slide on it. I use a little mini slide filled with wax that I dip my finger in with
hot wax, and then it sort of hardens around the tip of my finger.

BiTS: I've never heard of anybody doing that before. Where'd you get that trick

     from?

BM: I kind of just made it up
because I wanted it to stay on,

                                                                             but obviously it's difficult to
Ozark Thinline Biscuit Resonator get something to stick onto

                                                                             your finger without being

sticky, and so wax is the

to your finger and gives you a

                                                                             BiTS: What an absolutely
fabulous idea that is. I'm a bit

                                                                             of a slide player myself,
                                                                             although never to your

must be a good deal fatter
                                                                             than yours because I’ve never
had trouble keeping a slide on. But it's a fabulous idea that you've got there. You

     should patent it right now.

BM: Oh, I know, but hey. I'm an artist, aren't I [laughing]?

BiTS: [Laughs] Absolutely. Tell me something, you write a lot of songs for yourself,
and I guess you've probably got material for a new album that's already lined up,
     have you?

BM: Yeah, I've got a lot of songs up the sleeve, and it's just sort of cherry picking
them, earmarking them and I always do a frenzied writing session just beforehand
and come up with four or five and go, ‘They've got to make the album’, you know,
ridiculous. But yeah, I'm definitely not going to leave it this long or that long until I

make my next record. Yeah, so a lot of different sort of things on the table, some
collaborations, maybe. And my own writing retreat out in Cyprus is scheduled for

in October, so we'll see what happens there.
