Computers:
Due to the wide selection and abundance of information and advertising surrounding the
Computer Industry today we recommend you refer to a trusted and knowledgeable computer user
for your entire computer needs. Depending on the extent of your computerization, the size, type
and capability of any system chosen should result from a professional consultation. Preferably
your computer equipment will come from one supplier with installation and technical support
included. The chosen computer equipment should be capable of upgrading in all the expandable
areas. The basic hardware system to be considered at this time would include the following
parameters.
486 DX 2X66 (math co-processor at 66MHZ)
8 MB RAM (Random access memory)
540MB HD Drive (Disc storage space)
14,400 Fax/Data Z-Modem
14" SVGA .28 Dot N.I. Monitor
Ink Jet Printer
Although this system would be considered adequate for most operations, your selection of
software and desired speed of operation may result in considering the following upgrades.
Pentium-based Processor
16 MB RAM
28,800 Fax/Data Z-Modem
Quad Speed (4X) CD-ROM
Laser Printer
Sound Card and Speakers
Depending on the number of computer stations required a network set-up with a server
might have to be considered. We do not intend to recommend specifics here regarding the best or
most appropriate software or hardware installation. The systems overview for hardware and
software noted herein are based on some current installations up and running and producing the
desired results.
