Chapter 2: What is the Express Entry Pool ?
Now that we’ve had a chance to look at the Express Entry pool , the Com prehensive
Ranking System, and the ITA, let’s discuss what documents you shou ld be preparing
for this process.
What documents are needed for Express Entry?
The documentation required to submit an application for Canadian permanent residence
will depend on the program you are applying for (i.e. the Federal Skilled Wor ker Prog ram),
your civil status, your nationality, you r wor k and education histor y, and ot her factor s.
The system will give you a personalized document checklist after you ’ve been invited to
apply.
Start collecting the documents you will need ASAP. You will not necessarily be
required to provide all the documentation listed here. There is no “on e size fits all”
approach and the documents required will vary depending on you r particular
situation.
There are a you will be expected to provide. How ever, generallynumber of documents
speaking, you may want to begin or ganizing the follow ing documents:
1. A passport and travel document
2. Your NOC code
3. Language test results

b. You want to claim points for education you ob tained ou tside Canada
