BEYOND BASICS

Consider the path of the kick as a straight line from floor to target.
As the foot travels along the line, the knee must rise to maintain
that path. When the knee reaches its apex, it descends as the foot
travel continues along its path to the target.

“How does one kick with the lead
                               leg without telegraphing the
                                    intention to do so”?

Rock the hip to chamber and start the kick on its straight-line path
to the target. When the knee reaches its apex, the handshake
concept aligns the mid-point of the shin to be aimed at the target.
Complete the kick using the Pendulum Rock to penetrate the
target. Both the “Secret Handshake” and the “Pendulum Rock” will
make the kick more natural, powerful, and efficient. The effort to
lift the knee is eliminated and the energy of the kick is focused on
           the target!

This concept can be applied to most kicks whether lead leg or rear
           leg.
