               forward providing momentum for starting a strike or block.

               The Rule of Thumb for Expansion and Contraction is to expand
               with  pulling  motions  and  contract  with  pushing  motions.
               Breathing remains the same, inhale when preparing and ex-
               hale on the exertion.





















           Adding  Expansion  and  Contraction  to  the  “Whip”  can  increase
           both speed and power of techniques above and beyond just using
           the “Whip” alone.
           The above four concepts are very subtle modifications that will be
           imperceptible to an observer that anything is different and will
           have a huge effect on achieving “Maximum Efficiency, Minimum
           Effort”!
