1.1 Subject of the document

The purpose of this document is to describe the procedure of removing the transport screws from the
external brakes of the EOS4.0 system.

1.2 Tools

Allen Key
Multimeter

Service Application

1.3 Prerequisite

• The C-arms are mechanically blocked and cannot translate along the SHAEFFLER columns.

• The PLC safety is operational and is ready to release external brakes:
o The "No Motion" switch service is disabled (movements are allowed)

o Pre-Collision Sensors Switch is inactive
o Safety lock is inactive

• The 48VDC (901A1) power supply is operational.

• The frontal brake circuit breaker (1002F1) and the lateral brake breaker (1003F1) are closed

and operational.

Time needed:
15 mins

Be careful this procedure must be followed to the letter as there is a significant
risk of brake deterioration.
If in doubt during one step do not perform the next.
