B. Indications:
1. Coronary artery disease (cad)
2. Heart attack
3. Angina
4. Stroke or transient ischemic attacks (tias)
5. Peripheral vascular disease (pvd)
6. During and after angioplasty and stent procedures
7. After coronary artery bypass surgery.
C. Contraindication:
1. Large oesophageal varices
2. Recent stroke within two years
3. History of intracranial haemorrhage
4. Significant thrombocytopenia
5. Major surgery with 72 hours
6. Hypersensitivity to the medication
7. Acute clinically significant bleed
8. End-stage renal disease on haemodialysis
c. Side effects:
1. Extreme tiredness (fatigue)
2. Heartburn
3. Headache
4. Upset stomach and nausea
5. Stomach pain
6. Diarrhea
7. Nosebleed
