industrial vacuum cleaner. This is followed by the replacement of the bearings of the rotor shaft
of the electric motor, the installation of the impeller with the "blades" in the same place and
the installation of the complete fan on the vacuum cleaner body. According to the technology,
the last action (operation) should be preceded by a check for the absence of imbalance when
the impeller rotates directly on the shaft of the electric motor, that is, the balancing of the fan
wheel is checked on the object only visually, by rotating it by hand (while it should not stop in
one and the same the same position) [4].
In the case when there is an imbalance when the impeller rotates by hand, it is eliminated.
There are various ways (methods) of static balancing of the fan impeller directly on the motor
shaft. Consider some of them are more detailed.
The most reliable (from a technological point of view) method is to eliminate the imbalance
by drilling a hole in the "light" place of the impeller disk (D = 6.5 or 8.5 mm) followed by cutting
a left-hand thread in it and installing a steel threaded pin
in the hole. , also with left-hand thread. Since the fan
impeller is made of sillumine, the volume of sillumine
removed from the hole will be lighter than the weight of
the steel pin. The approximate place of drilling and the
required weight of the pin can be determined by attaching
a lump of plasticine to the impeller disk. After drilling
the first hole and installing a pin in it, it is necessary to
give the wheel rotation again with a slight jolt and, if it
stops with the same "light" place at the top, attach the
next lump of plasticine in another place of the disc (to
the right or left of the first point) in order to eliminate
the imbalance ... Then the second hole is drilled and
pinned. The hole diameter and therefore the approximate
weight of the second pin is determined by weighing the
clay. Such pinned holes must be made at least three in
different places (to the right and to the left of the first
pin) - until the impeller, with a slight jolt, stops in any
(arbitrary) position. In this case, the assembled fan on
the workbench (in the balancing process) can rest on its
base plate and the ventilation hood of the electric motor.
When screwing in the pins, you should use a special thread
glue, although the left direction of the thread itself will
more than reliably protect the pins from self-loosening
under the influence of centrifugal force when the impeller
rotates.
The second method of static balancing of the
impeller on the shaft-rotor of the electric motor is less
