O-Levels when I was asked to step outside of my class for not
being able to pay 6 months’ fee. That day I quailed but today I
will not. After being a wretched fellow I finally scheduled a
meeting with the principal. I entered her office with the sole
purpose of letting her know that I was one of those students
on whom they market their name, the student with 100%
merit scholarship. After a great argument I left the office with
her most kind words: “Rs. 60,000 is not a million dollar that
you cannot pay”. I had promised myself once again, that I will
never forget this day and one day a few hundred million
would be my daily income. I remember my mom telling her
brother, who lives in Manchester, about this situation and two
days later I entered the school with a bang. After a few weeks
we had our group photo at school and the students with 3 A’s
and above stood in the front row. While standing in that row, I
gazed at the last row and saw the old me; looking at me with
ambition and saying, “Next year, I will be standing in that first
row, mark my words”. A warm smile filled my face and the
