found Rs. 50 from this one drawer in my brother’s room. We
were still short on Rs. 20. I could see the low spirits of my
mom while she told me, “it was fine”. In my heart I was
continuously yelling at God while searching for the remaining
money and suddenly I felt as if I saw Rs. 20. It really was Rs. 20
and without knowing anything I ran to the store and came
home with a pack of peanuts. That was yet another day I saw
my mom’s duchenne smile. Later on, during my A-Levels, I
saved Rs. 20 and kept it in my wallet to remind me about the
“Peanut Story”. Keeping this Rs. 20 has made me the richest
person alive, richer than a few hundred million as it had my
mom’s emotions attached to it. Anyways, my A-Levels was
successfully completed with 3 A's and the last fee bill from
period of April to June with 100% scholarship was folded and
placed in my wallet so that later on whenever I look at this fee
bill I get reminded of the fee struggles and especially to never
forget the kind words from the principal.
