Chapter 4: The Exploration Continues
It was the year 2018, I was 19 years old and this was the
beginning of a new phase in my life. The admissions to
Universities were taking place and I learned that LSE was
giving a 50% merit scholarship on 3 As. A good university, with
a good name and most importantly being the second closest
to my house, I had applied. No, I didn’t apply for LSE because I
got rejected from LUMS (which is 5 minutes walk from my
house), it was me who rejected LUMS because for me it is just
too much expensive. My aim was to minimize my education
fees which is why LSE was the best option. You might think
that it was a little foolish to only apply for LSE but well
sometimes risks are what we live for. When you have done so
much on your own, a little helping hand doesn’t sound so
bad. Well, my sister in law, Fatima Syed is an Assistant
Registrar at LSE and gave a little helping hand in scheduling a
meeting with Dr. Shahid after I got accepted. Now the plan
