and Gupta, one of the minor characters. These two
characters have different personalities. In the book, it
Gupta shows that the Baba is kind, caring, and hardworking

whereas Gupta is greedy, selfish and lazy. Baba is calm
and tries reasoning but Gupta is short tempered, shouts
and scolds. Baba tries to save the tiger cub but Gupta
tries poaching and selling it.

These two characters don’t have much similarities
but only the fact that they both live in Sunderbans. Also
both want the missing tiger cub for their own benefits.

Both know the headmaster of Sunderbans school. Baba
knows him as his son, Neel studies in his school. Gupta
knows the headmaster as they were friends.
