PASTOR BOBBY GRANT
Pastor Bobby Grant founded New Birth Ministries Church of God in Christ located in
Kenosha, Wisconsin in 2019. He started in ministry as a Noncommissioned Officer,
Chaplain’s Assistant in 1988. He attended the United States Army Chaplain Center and
School in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. He served in the United States Army for ten years
and was honorably discharged. After serving in the Army, he pursued undergraduate
studies in accounting at Upper Iowa University, earning a Bachelor of Science.
Pastor Grant pursued his passion and started a small accounting business. He started in a
studio apartment twenty years ago and now has his own office in one of the main business
districts in Kenosha. While working in real estate, he met Superintendent (Emeritus)
James L. Williams and became a member of Greater Mount Hebron Church of God In
Christ. He served humbly for twelve years as a deacon and minister under his great
leadership. Earnestly in prayer, and seeking the guidance of his Pastor, he attended the
Herron-Hudson Bible Institute of Wisconsin First Jurisdiction in 2014. He was ordained
as an Elder in 2018 under the leadership of our Prelate, General Board member Bishop
Sedgwick Daniels. Upon graduation, he continued serving in his local church as an Elder.
Seeking God in prayer, he followed the leading of the Lord to fulfill the call to the office
of Pastor. Services began in the summer of 2019 in a local community center with just
family members and then transitioned to a hotel conference center. Within several
months, the onset of COVID forced the church out of the hotel conference center, but that
didn’t close the church. New Birth Ministries transitioned from brick and mortar to a
virtual platform, spreading the gospel.
Pastor Grant received a vision from God to start an outreach ministry. Specifically, to
minister and serve those individuals that need a second chance in life. Following the
leading of the Holy Spirit, an outreach ministry was birthed, and he appointed his wife
Lady Grant over this ministry. Under the tutelage of her husband, Lady Grant continues to
support the Chaplain and other local ministers in the jail ministry, praying, ministering,
and attending baptismal services. Pastor Grant founded an outreach ministry with his wife
called, “Revitalize” for individuals that were formerly incarcerated. The church has a
dedicated space for a “dress for success” closet to provide proper attire for interviews,
and provide career services, but most importantly the church will share the “Gospel of
Jesus Christ.” Pastor Grants inspiring words to the congregation can be found in Matthew
25:36, “Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye
came unto me.”
While in prayer as a church for the “doors of the church” to be physically re-opened, New
Birth Ministries' prayers were answered in March of this year. New Birth Ministries
leased a small storefront building. God is faithful! All honor and glory to God.
Pastor Grant is married to Lady Rason Grant, and they have been married for ten blessed
years and serve humbly together in ministry. They have eight wonderful children.
