                         Urine Report (Interpretation with Examples)

                                                                               Urine report consists of 3

                                                                               parts:
                                                                                   Physical examination.

                                                                                   Chemical examination.

                                                                                   Microscopic
                                                                                      examination.

➢ How to read the report?

It is important to look at the patient’s history, symptoms and

all parts of the report as one piece then find the best scenario

that that is consistent with the case.

                       ➢ For example:

                   • The epithelial cell indicates urinary tract injury.

                   • This patient has reddish yellow urine, this can be explained

                       by the presence of RBCs.

                   • Note that it is RBCs cells NOT casts, so usually they are not

from tubular origin, further analysis is needed to identify the

                       origin.
