Microscopic Urine analysis
➢ Sample Preparation:
10-15 ml of fresh urine Centrifuge it at 1500 to
sample is obtained. 3000 rpm for five minutes.
The supernatant is discarded, and the
sediment is resuspended in the
remaining liquid.
To be
examined.
A single drop is then transferred to a glass slide, a cover slip
is applied.
The slide is examined under:
▪ Low-power magnification(10X): For general impression.
▪ High-power magnification(40X): To identify /count all
constituents.

RBC Non- Calcium Oxalate
s Cellular Cystine
WBCs
s Uric acid
Cellular Magnesium
ammonium
phosphate
