The literature reserch focuses on the international application of BD,
AI and analytics within the wine industry and did not focus on a specific

country. Hence, the author focused the research study on Italy and

the UK wine organisations. Due to the covid pandemic, organisations
were on shutdown, hence it was difficult to contact and interview

vineyards Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). The UK has a limited

number of vineyards due to the market being in its infancy stages. The

data collection is limited to sample size due to the dissertation being a

niche topic. There was a limited timeframe between 1 October 2020

and 1 May 2021, to conduct the study as well as being an individual
researcher.

1.5. Organisation of study

Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the dissertation topic, literature

aims and objectives. Chapter 2 investigates the literature reviews

(past and current literature) on the topic to find the key research

articles. Chapter 3 explores the methodology providing an overview of
the methods to identify participants and data collection methods.

Chapter 4 defines the findings chapter quantifies the research finding

into charts. Chapter 5 provides the conclusion, summarises the
complete dissertation.

1.6. Conclusion

The introduction provide the author with a framework to evaluate the

application of BD, AI and Analytics and corresponding contributions
within the UK and Italy wine life cycle. It will highlight the contributions

derived by applying each of the BD, AI and Analytics within the wine

life cycle stages.
