26 The Unforgettable Moments in Life

The bad thing about parades like this is that many women and children are kidnapped or

killed, most likely killed. After this particular parade, there were many disappearances and

murders. One included another one of my cousin’s parents. Just two days after the parade and

Gabriella's birthday party, my uncle went missing along with his girlfriend. They were never

found, but it was said that a really big cartel gang was responsible for their disappearances. My

uncle tried escaping that gang because he had a child and he didn’t want his own child to be put

in danger. Unfortunately, there was a possibility that they had found my uncle and took him.

Many good and bad things happened that day. I hope that the families of the missing people have

found peace.
