the story in the form of characters and their dialogues.

Gleam of Hope
Characters
Nya, Dep, Two men, Chief and Narrator
Narrator-It had been several months since Nya’s
family had come back to the village the day the
visitors came and it was nearly time to go back to the
camp. The children ran to meet the jeep as it drove
up. Nya was shy about meeting strangers so she hung
back. Two men emerged from the jeep and spoke to
the biggest boys including Nya’s brother, Dep. He led
them to the village chief and their uncle.
Chief- Hello! Please come inside and have some tea.
Narrator- They went inside and sat with other men
from the village and chatted for a while.
Nya - What are they talking about?
Dep - Something about water…
Nya - The nearest water is half a morning’s away, in
