PARTICULAR ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATION

1.2 SCOPE OF SERVICES
The scope of services shall be inclusive of but not limited to the following, presented in
approximate sequence:
1. Receive a scope of design, kitchen and lobby layout proposal from the main Contractor,
which may include:
i. kitchen equipment layout showing new and existing equipment and supply
requirements
ii. restaurant lobby furniture and lighting layouts
iii. data and power requirements for display screens and tills
iv. roof plant space requirements
2. Carry out an inspection and survey of the existing installations
3. Carry out testing of the existing installations as necessary to prove compliance with the
applicable regulations and standards
4. Production of a design proposal and cost estimate based on design information
provided by the Project Manager and the outcome of the site survey, for review
comment and/or the approval of the Project Manger
5. Production of co-ordinated Construction information inclusive of any comments from
the Project Manager.
6. Provide assistance to the Main Contractor in the taking down of existing finishes and
the removal of existing equipment, i.e. isolation and disconnection of light fittings and
power circuits as necessary.
7. Procure, install, set to work, test and commission all elements of the electrical
installation inclusive of but not limited to the following:
i. Small power distributions and equipment
ii. Lighting, emergency lighting and controls
iii. Till power distribution
iv. Fire alarm devices and system
v. CO2 detection and alarm system
vi. All associated cabling and containment
8. Offer up the completed works for the inspection of the Project Manager, repeat sample
commissioning tests as required.
9. Provide completed test records and certificates, signed as necessary
10. Provide record drawings and other Operating and Maintenance documents for the
works carried out.
The Contractor should note that it is intended that as far as is practically and safely possible
the majority of the existing electrical installation should be retained and re-used for the re-
fit of the restaurant. The existing installations should be assessed by the Contractor for their
capacity and suitability for extension and re-use.
