                         IP65, LSF steel reinforced.

Flexible conduits shall contain a CPC equal in CSA. to that of the circuit conductor.

Each final circuit shall be provided with a separate circuit protective conductor (CPC), CPC
shall be not less than half the CSA of the supply conductor. Space for the CPC shall be
taken into account when determining the maximum capacity requirements of the conduit.
               2.9.4 Steel Conduit

               2.9.4.1 Fittings

Black enamelled and galvanised conduit shall have fittings of the same material
throughout its length and shall be subjected to a metal continuity test as detailed in BS
7671. Elbows and manufactured bends are not recommended and shall be fitted as
conduit boxes. Screws and screwed connections shall be greased to facilitate easy access.

               2.9.4.2 Installation

Black enamelled conduit will be used in clean and dry internal areas only where plastic is
thought to be at risk to damage.

Galvanised conduit shall be used in all external applications and in all plant rooms.

Draw boxes used external to the building shall be of heavy gauge construction.
Side entry boxes used to support light fittings or other equipment shall be securely fixed

                         independently of the conduit run.
Concealed conduit shall be securely fixed in position prior to concrete pouring or covering
                         with plaster or stud work.

Conduit runs under floor boards shall be readily accessible and covered by suitable floor
traps supplied and fitted by the Electrical Contractor. Traps shall be brass edged recessed
and filled with a material to match the floor surface.

2.9.5 Wiring Of Conduit And Trunking

               2.9.5.1 Materials

LSF insulated cables shall be used as specified in BS 7211 : 2012 having copper conductors
