GENERAL ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATION
Version 2014-2
All tees and crosses shall be manufactured with a gusseted corner angle to meet the
required installation cable-bending radii, allowing cables to flow in both line and direction.
2.9.7.2 Installation
Cable Basket shall be supported at a maximum span of 2.5m by trapeze, wall, floor or
channel mounting methods and shall not exceed maximum load as specified by the
manufacturer.
Cable Baskets shall be coupled together using either a fast spring coupler or a
25mm/30mm counter clamp combination with supporting lateral splice plate on trays
over 300mm width.
Each joint shall be earth bonded using tinned copper earth braids.
As a general rule the containment system selected should be sized so that only around
50% is filled during the initial installation. This allows plenty of room for future system
expansion, without incurring further building work.

The Electrical Contractor shall supply and install a plug-in bus bar trunking system to serve
the Restaurant area lighting, where detailed.
