GENERAL ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATION
Version 2014-2
The bus bar trunking shall have three phase conductor and one neutral conductor. Each
phase conductor shall serve a separate circuit as below: -
Circuit 1 (L1) 50% of lighting
Circuit 2 (L2) 50% of lighting plus wall lights
Circuit 3 (L3) Emergency lighting
The neutral shall be common to all circuits.
The trunking shall be fixed at 3 metre centres, mounted on its edge using purpose made
fixing brackets. The trunking shall be fixed to the underside of the main steels or, to the
roof purlins using M6 galvanised steel threaded rod, as detailed on the drawings.
Each section of trunking shall be connected using the plug-in jointing device provided.
Whole lengths of trunking only shall be utilised i.e. cutting of the trunking will not be
required.
Each run of trunking shall be fed via an end feed unit, which is supplied complete with an
end cover, this shall be fitted to the opposite end of the trunking run. Each end feed unit
shall be connected to the fixed wiring system as detailed.

Final connections to each feed unit shall be made using 6mm 5 core YY flexible cable to
VDE specification.
2.10 INTERIOR LIGHTING
2.10.1 Luminaires
All luminaires will be free issue, called off by the Electrical Contractor from McDonalds
specialist supplier as detailed below: -

Luminaires for public spaces and over the counter shall be as specified on the Architects
drawings and shall be installed by the Electrical Contractor in the positions indicated on
the Architects drawings.
