2.10.3 Luminaire Connection
2.10.3.1 New Distributions
Where the lighting distribution is to be replaced, recessed luminaries shall be connected
via either:
Restaurant Area Telemecanique 10A tap off unit with phase selection serving a
number of 5way 10A lighting rendar units as listed below.

Other Areas As above where served from bus bar trunking or plug in units as
manufactured by “KILK” comprising S27 socket fitted to a Besa
box (S64AX for luminaries with integral emergency invertor

packs) and P22 plug, fitted with 3 core 1.0mm flexible cable
reference 3183Y (plug reference P64AXR for use with S64AX

sockets) and 4 core 1.5mm white LSF flexible cable to BS 6500
(3184Y)
2.10.3.2 Existing Distributions
Where the existing cables in trunking lighting distribution is identified as suitable for
retention, the existing 3-pin PCR2000 connectors are to be retained and re-used, the
existing flex is to be terminated with an IEC re-wireable connector to connect to IEC
distribution units for the connection of individual luminaires.
Un-switched power for emergency lighting inverters and batteries will be routed through
separate 3-pin PCR2000 connectors and IEC distribution units.
