The complete assembly (accessory and box) shall comply fully with IET Regulation 553 and
for bonding of boxes IET Regulations 543.

2.12.3 Hand Dryers

The Electrical Contractor shall supply and install handryers in the kitchen, staff & public
toilets, hand dryers shall be as manufactured by AirDri Classic MkII, bright chrome finish.

A fused connection unit shall be provided for each hand dryer, connected radially to the

associated circuit breaker in the distribution board by a 4.0mm ; 3-core LSF insulated YY
cable. Fused connection units shall be switched type with neon indicator, as
manufactured by MK Electric, their catalogue reference K1060WHI in the kitchen and
back of house areas, K941MCO in public toilets.

Not more than three hand dryers are to be connected to a single 20A RCBO.

Final connection to each hand dryer from the fused connection unit shall be made via a 3

core 2.5mm heat resistant flexible cable (3183 TQ) with ERP insulation and CSP sheath,
enclosed in a concealed plastic conduit terminating in a Besa box at the rear of each unit.
2.12.4 Trash Compactor

Provide a 16A, SP&N, IP67, wall mounted, CeeForm socket for the connection of the trash
compactor in the corral. The circuit for the trash compactor will be connected to a 16A
RCBO in the General Distribution.
The socket outlet shall be as manufactured by Mennekes Electrical, their Amelan range

16A 2P+E catalogue No 1192 with plug top 278.
The Electrical Contractor shall connect the plug to the flex provided with the compactor.

2.12.5 External Socket Outlets for General Use

External BS1363 sockets shall be weatherproof, as manufactured by MK Electric, their
catalogue reference Masterseal 56482GRY. The circuits for the external sockest will be
connected to suitably rated RCBOs.

Provide individual twin switched sockets in the corral for the connection of the following
equipment:

• Jet wash
• Mini break tank
2.12.6 Insectocutor

The Electrical Contractor shall take receipt of, install, set to work, test and commission an
insectocutor supplied free issue by LAUK. The insectocutor is to be fitted over the 3 bowl
wash basin in the kitchen.
