GENERAL ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATION

The Contractor shall provide power supplies and network cabling for the system as
directed by the CO2 specialist or otherwise as per the following specification.
2.12.11.2 Control Panel
The alarm/control panel shall be located in the managers’ office, mounted on the wall
above the dado trunking, final location to be as indicated on the Architects detail drawing
or otherwise as agreed with the Project Manager.
2.12.11.3 Xenon Sounder/Beacon
A xenon sounder/beacon will be located outside the managers’ office, in the kitchen
space. The xenon beacon will be radially connected to the central alarm panel.
The xenon sounder/beacon will mounted at 2400mm AFFL, unless otherwise directed by
the Project Manager.
2.12.11.4 CO2 Sensors
CO2 sensors shall be mounted at 303-457mm AFFL, unless otherwise directed by the CO 2
installation specialist or Project Manager.
The final location of CO 2 sensors relative to equipment shall be as identified by the CO
2
installation specialist.
CO2 sensors will be radially connected directly to the control/alarm panel in the
managers’ office, repeat alarm panels will be looped from the sensor.
2.12.11.5 Repeat Alarm Panels
Repeat alarm panels shall be installed at the 2100-2400mm AFFL, unless otherwise
directed by the Project Manager.
Repeat alarm panels will be looped from the associated sensor. The repeat alarm panel
outside the multiplex room will be looped from the repeat alarm panel within the
multiplex room.
2.12.11.6 Power Supply
The Contractor shall provide a fused connection unit supply for the alarm/control panel to
be located in the managers’ office. The fused connection unit will be located in the ceiling
void unless otherwise directed by the Project Manager.
2.12.11.7 Cabling
The Contractor shall provide Cat 6 cabling between the control panel, the sensors, repeat
alarm panels and beacon. Cables are to be installed on the IT basket.
