2.12.11.8 Testing & Commissioning
The CO2 alarm system equipment shall be installed, tested and commissioned by the CO 2
specialist.
2.13 KITCHEN EQUIPMENT
The majority of kitchen equipment will be connected to purpose made sub-main
distributions or ‘chases’, complete with fixed sockets provided and fitted by the kitchen
equipment supplier, the sub-main distributions will be connected to the kitchen
distribution installed by the Electrical Contractor via in-line CeeForm plugs and sockets.
The electrical power supplies for kitchen equipment will be connected to a single sub-
main distribution board reference Kitchen Power (KP).
The Electrical Contractor will provide electrical supplies and connections in accordance
with the requirements shown on the H&K drawings provided by the Project Manager, or
where information is not available as indicated by the Appendices of this specification or
otherwise as instructed by the Project Manager in the course of the kitchen fit-out.
All electrical supplies to kitchen equipment will be fitted with RCD protection at the
Kitchen Power distribution board.
2.14 DIGITAL DISPLAY AND INTERACTIVE SYSTEMS
Digital systems will be installed by a McDonalds’ specialist Contractors inclusive of but not
limited to the following elements:
• Point of Sale till system (EPOS)
• Self-order kiosks
• Order collection displays
• Digital menu displays
• McCafe display
• Digital tablet tables
• Digiplay system
• Digital welcome displays
• Kitchen video system (KVS)
• Music system
• Crew room PCs
The Electrical Contractor shall provide power supplies and containment for the system as
indicated on the signage and digital systems drawings as provided by the Project
Manager, or otherwise as instructed by the Project Manager during the restaurant fit-out.
Containment routes are to be provided to all final points of connection.
