For kiosks with a floor connection only, the socket will be located in the nearest service
void from which service containment is to be routed to the foot of the kiosk in a floor
chase.

2.14.1.6 Digital Tablet Tables

Provide a switched fused connection unit adjacent to the location of the Tablet table as
identified on the Architects drawing.

The final location of the connection unit will be determined by the containment route to
the table, i.e. whether it is connected to the ceiling or floor only.

The circuit to the digital tablet table will be fitted with 30mA RCD protection.

For tables with a ceiling connection the connection unit will be located in the ceiling void
directly above the table.
For tables with a floor connection only, the connection unit will be located in the ceiling at
the top of the wall chase linking the floor chase to the table.

Supply and fit four BS1363 twin switched sockets within the table base enclosure for the

connection of the digital tablet chargers. Connect a 4mm 3-core YY cable between the
fused connection unit and the twin sockets in the table.

2.14.1.7 Kitchen Video System (KVS)

Provide switched sockets located in the ceiling void fixed immediately above the location
identified on the McDonalds specialist Contractors drawing, where information is not
available as indicated by the appendices of this specification, or otherwise as directed by
the Project Manager.

2.14.1.8 Counter

Provide the following for the counter positions:

Collection point 2 x twin switched sockets
Local data cabinet 2 x twin switched sockets

A minimum of two distribution circuits will be provided at the counter so that trading is
not interrupted by a single circuit failure; both circuits will be of the same supply phase.
Each counter station will be presented with multiple power supply outlets connected
interleaved to both circuits.

Power supplies will be routed in one of two dado trunkings fitted to the underside of the
counter; the second trunking will be used by the data system installer.
