GENERAL ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATION

Final connection to the terminals within the HVAC and panel shall be carried out by the
Electrical Contractor.
The Electrical Contractor shall fit each cable core with a cable marker as supplied by
Partex (or equal and approved) to correspond with the terminal number within the panel.
Similar cable markers shall also be fitted at the equipment end of the cable.
2.15.2 Controls
All items of controls i.e. sensors, thermostats etc will be provided by the Mechanical
Contractor.
All equipment with the exception of wall mounted thermostats and sensors will be fixed
by the HVAC contractor.
The Electrical Contractor shall connect all control items and shall fix and connect wall
mounted thermostats and sensors.
Final connections to control items shall be made as follows:

Wall mounted thermostats and sensors Belden screened control cables via a flush
mounted Besa box

Duct sensors, air pressure switches, 2 Core 0.5mm 3182TQ flex connected to
thermal cut outs the fixed connector block in a Besa box.
Flex to be fitted with a nylon packing gland
at both ends.
Final connections to controls mounted externally to be made as above but all conduit box
lids to be fitted with neoprene gaskets and nylon packing glands to be of the watertight
type, complete with a PCP sealing ring.
2.15.1 Intruder Alarm
The Electrical Contractor is to provide an interface between the intruder alarm control
panel and the Restaurant lighting control system to enable the complete lighting
installation to be switched on when the alarm is triggered.
The Contractor is to liaise with the intruder alarm specialist to ensure this interface
functions correctly.
