GENERAL ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATION

Screens and digital equipment generally will be provided by the McDonalds specialist
Contractor.
2.14.1 Power Supplies
2.14.1.1 IT Power Distribution
Provide a dedicated distribution board for the connection of all data equipment supplies
to be located in the Managers office, reference IP.
The distribution pan assembly will be single phase with a minimum of 12 ways. The final
number of circuit ways will be determined by the Electrical Contractor according to the
quantity and distribution of digital equipment to be installed and allowing for 4 spare
ways.
The distribution board will comply with the requirements for sub-main distribution boards
described elsewhere in this specification.
All circuits will be complete with 30mA RCD protection.
2.14.1.2 Digital Equipment Cabinet
Provide two discrete circuits for the connection of the central equipment cabinet in the
manager’s office, unless otherwise indicated by the Architects drawings.
The circuits will be terminated in 16A, SP&N, in-line CeeForm sockets located above the
ceiling in the Managers office.
2.14.1.3 Display Screens Generally
Provide a switched twin socket located in the ceiling void fixed immediately above the
location of the screen identified on the Architects drawing.
2.14.1.4 Digiplay
Provide a switched twin socket located in the ceiling void fixed immediately above the
location of the digiplay projector as identified on the Architects drawing.
2.14.1.5 Self-Order Kiosks (SOK)
Provide a switched twin socket adjacent to the location of the SOK as identified on the
Architects drawing. The SOKs will be fed from a dedicated radial circuit; the circuit to the
SOK will not be connected to any other devices or equipment.
The final location of the socket will be determined by the containment route to the kiosk,
i.e. whether it is connected to the ceiling or floor only.
For kiosks with a ceiling connection the socket will be located in the ceiling void directly
above the kiosk.
