GENERAL ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATION

This equipment is to be obtained on a ‘free issue’ basis from LAUK.
The loop is to be affixed to the underside of the counter and similarly the microphone
held securely in place directly underneath the counter and aimed towards the serve ry.
An adhesive sign supplied with the hearing loop equipment is to be affixed to the wall in a
prominent position above the equipment where it can be readily viewed by the Public.
2.12.10 Access Control
The Electrical Contractor will supply, install test and commission self-contained door
access control systems for the doors linking public and staff spaces, specifically as follows:
• Access to the staff corridor from the toilet bobby
• Access to the kitchen/counter space from the lobby
Each access control systems shall be self-contained, stand-alone and shall be inclusive of
but not limited to the following:
• Stainless steel key pad
• 12V DC, 1A Power supply in a plastic housing
• Push-to-exit control button, to be located on the secure side of the door
• Connection to a fire alarm interface to release the door lock
• A door head maglock mechanism
• A green break glass door release on the ‘risk’ side of the door.
The stainless steel key pad and power supply will be as manufactured by Paxton Access
Ltd., their catalogue reference K75 keypad with screw terminals; Ins-30016 power supply.
The maglock must be suitable for use with a 1A power supply.
2.12.11 CO2 Sensor & Alarm Panel
2.12.11.1 General
An Analox Ax 60 CO 2 detection and alarm system shall be supplied and installed by the
CO2 installation specialist, the system shall be inclusive of the following elements, unless
otherwise directed by the Project Manager:
• A control and alarm panel
• A xenon alarm sounder/beacon
• A CO2 detector located adjacent to the multiplex unit
• Repeat alarm units inside and outside the multiplex room
• A CO2 detector located adjacent to the CO2 bulk storage vessel
• A repeat alarm unit on the ‘safe’ side of the access door to the space containing the
bulk CO2 storage vessel
