GENERAL ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATION

The Electrical Contractor shall provide a dedicated SP&N supply to serve the insectocutor
in the kitchen.

This supply shall terminate into a fuse connection unit. The fused connection unit Ref
H92WP; engraved as detailed in Appendices. The fused connection unit shall be mounted
at 2200mm above finished floor level on flush mounted boxes to BS 4662: 1970 with a
brass earth terminal.

Final connection to the insectocutor shall be made via a 3 core 1.5mmat resistant
he
flexible cable (3183TQ) with ERP insulation and CSP sheath, enclosed in a concealed PVC
conduit terminating in a besa box at the rear of the unit.
2.12.7 Rear Door Bell

The Electrical Contractor shall supply and install a rear door bell system.

Principally, this will comprise a din rail mounted bell transformer as Merlin Gerin type
15216 240/8v 8VA transformer.
This will serve a rear door bell push, which shall be as MK Ref 56407 GRY IP56.

The door bell shall be an underdome 8v AC bell as Frieldland Ref D792, which shall be
fitted in the Managers office.

Wiring to the above shall be carried out via YY cables on tray/enclosed in PVC high impact
conduit.

2.12.8 Disabled Persons Toilet Alarm

The Electrical Contractor shall supply and install a disabled toilet alarm system, as
supplied by C-Tec, their catalogue reference NC951CRO.

These alarm system will consist of: -
a. Red coloured pull cord in the disabled persons’ facility.
b. Recessed alarm buzzer/reset unit in the disabled persons’ facility.
c. Surface visual alarm sounder outside the disabled persons’ facility.
d. Surface remote visual alarm sounder behind the counter.

On operation of the disabled alarm pull cord, the visual alarm sounders, situated outside
the facility and behind the counter, will activate.
To reset the alarm system the reset button must be pushed to disarm both visual alarm
sounders.

A 240V supply will be required to drive the control unit.

2.12.9 Hearing Loop

A hearing loop is to be installed at the counter.
