2.16.8.3 Pump
Adjacent to the heater a DHWS circulating pump will be installed by others. The Electrical
Contractor shall supply and install a single phase supply from the switchgear panel to the
pump terminating in a fused connection unit as MK Electric Ltd K972 ALM.
Final connection to the pump shall be carried out by the Electrical Contractor using 3 core

1.5mm heat resistant flex 3183 TQ, with a nylon stuffing gland at the motor.
2.16.9 DHWS Pressurisation Pump
The DHWS booster pump will be supplied and installed by others, to serve the pull down
spray head point on the 3 tub sink unit.
The Electrical Contractor shall supply and install a single phase supply terminating in a
fused connection unit as MK Electric Ltd K972 ALM (fused at 13A).
When this pump is fitted within the wash up area and in particular below the 3 tub sink
then the connection shall be equal to or better than an MK IP44 Commando 16 amp
9201BLU.
The pump shall be controlled via an internal wired Pressure switch.
Final connection to the pump shall be carried out by the Electrical Contractor using 3 core

2.5mm heat resistant flexible cable 3138 TQ with a nylon stuffing gland at the motor.
2.16.10 Containment
Cable trays shall be Heavy Duty Galvanised steel, which shall be separated from the roof
or exterior surfaces utilising the pipe support system installed by the HVAC Contractor.
2.17 FIRE ALARM SYSTEM
2.17.1 New or Replacement Systems
Where a new system is required the Electrical Contractor shall supply, install, set to work,
test and commission a complete analogue addressable fire alarm system, inclusive of all
addressable components.
The system shall be inclusive of but not limited to the following:
• Smoke detectors
• Heat sensors
• Sounders
• Xenon beacons
• Manual call points
• Alarm devices for the roof plant area
• Interfaces to:
HVAC plant control panel
