The Event Volunteering Code of Conduct
It is The Event Volunteer Programmes intent that all volunteering
activities are conducted in a positive, safe manner in which all volunteers
can undertake their roles in a productive and professional way. It is with
this intent that the Volunteer Code of Conduct is presented to contribute
to good volunteering practices and standards.
The Volunteers Event Volunteers
• Throughout the volunteering experience you are representing Event
Volunteering in Greenwich, the event you are volunteering at and
partner organisations. All volunteers are expected to conduct
themselves in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
• You are expected to respect the property of each event, programme
staff, volunteers and the public. Due care needs to be taken with your
personal belongings.
• No illegal drugs or substances are to be consumed during any
volunteering event or activity. In addition, judgement must be
exercised at events where alcohol is present. For the entire
volunteering experience, you are representing yourself, your team,

at and you are a reflection on all partners.
Respect for others
• There should be no abusive or disrespectful behaviour toward other
volunteers, staff or the public, either verbally or physically. Please be
