When we refer to boundaries, we are talking about what is appropriate
behaviour in a given situation

If you don’t feel comfortable or able to carry out a task remember it is ok
to let you team and team leader know.
What is NOT part of your role as an Event Volunteer;
You may encounter situations where you are not sure what to do!
Here are some situations that are outside the boundaries of your role
• Dealing with aggression/ difficult members of the public
• Helping members of the public with issues unrelated to the event
• Assistance involving physical contact
• Taking photos of members of the public
• Releasing confidential information
If you are in any doubt speak to your Team Leader or designated person
