Health and Safety

Safe environment:

Each event you attend will have slightly different Health and Safety
requirements.
The event organiser will have carried out a full risk assessment for the
event, this will include, Health and Safety issues such as:
• Crowds and crowd control
• Fire hazards and procedures
• First aid requirements
• Equipment safety
• How could accidents happen and who might be harmed
• What they need to do to control the risks and make the event
safer

The Briefing Session & Health and Safety
Every event that you volunteer for will have a briefing session.
This will go through your allocated roles but also and importantly, Health
and Safety
We all play a part in Health and Safety so be observant and follow the
information given in your briefing session
Also follow the following general Health and Safety requirement for
event volunteering
