be replaced by new committee members. A committee member serving a
      full three (3) year term of office may not be elected or appointed again to
      the committee until at least one (1) year has elapsed since he last served.
      The members of the Finance Committee other than the Past President
      and the current officers, shall serve for a term of three (3) years and the
      terms shall be staggered like the other standing committees.  The
      Grounds Committee members shall serve for six (6) year terms and shall
      be staggered like the other standing committee members so that
      one-third (1/3) of each of the Grounds Committee member’s term will
      expire every other year and they will be replaced by new committee
      members having a six (6) year term.

     Section 4.
            Standing Committees: The following are the Standing Committees
      and the powers and responsibilities of each:

             Finance Committee: It shall be the duty of this Committee to assist
      the Board of Directors in the oversight of the conduct of the Club’s
      business finances and shall supervise the annual auditing process of the
      Club.  It shall monitor the integrity of the Club’s financials and internal
      controls regarding finance.  It shall work with the General Manager and
      Business Manager to originate and prepare plans for financing the current
      activities, the fixed and capital assets, and current and future obligations
      of the Club.  The Finance Committee shall perform such other powers
      and duties as may be assigned to it by the Board of Directors from time to
      time not inconsistent with these By-Laws.

            House Committee: It shall be the duty of the House Committee to
      prescribe and enforce house rules and regulations, subject to the
      approval and ratification of the Board of Directors, and to advise club
      management of all matters pertaining to the service, physical condition,
      and comfort of the members within the clubhouse and other buildings of
      the Club.

            It shall be its duty to advise management of club members’ interests,
      satisfaction and relevance of recreational, social and personal
      entertainment programs of the Club.

            It shall also perform such other duties as may be assigned to it from
      time to time by the Board of Directors.

            Membership Committee: It shall be the duty of the Membership
      Committee to examine all applicants for membership in the Club and to
      make a thorough investigation of their quality and fitness for membership
      and to make recommendations based on their findings to the Board. It
      shall also be the duty of the Membership Committee to secure new
      members for the Club, to organize and plan membership drives, and to
      extend invitations of membership to eligible prospects, all subject to the
      approval of the Board of Directors.
