Slowly, I managed to climb out, just barely in time with my hands

screaming in pain at the effort. I looked around at the black sky,

smoke filling the air. I never expected such a thing to happen, and

was still too much in shock to register what was happening.

Basically, Tejus.exe has failed to compute the situation. I slowly got

my brains to work and knew one thing- I needed to get down and call

the police, or my parents at least. I then had the best case scenario, I

saw a person! I rushed towards the figure to see none other than

Adhyayan! I went towards him, ready to cry in relief, glad at finding

another person. I told him my side of the story and he told me his.

Apparently, he hadn't found anyone else, and was forced to climb out

of the bus. We agreed that the best course of action would be to

climb down the hill. We moved down and soon felt immense relief. We

raced down the hill, and soon saw another silhouette. Who else could

it be other than Naman? He raced towards us, and we rejoiced. Soon

enough, he broke down, telling us Akschhit had died. I suddenly felt

sick. I cried, finally the tears came dripping down in big ugly streams.

Gathering ourselves, we made it down the hill. Though a grueling

journey, it was wholly manageable, ignoring our knees screaming in

pain. We made it down in around two hours, feeling the weight of the

world on our shoulders. We found ourselves in a police station that

Naman spotted. We went inside and spilled our story. My voice was

barely a whisper, as I told my parents what had happened. Leading a

search party, the police found the rest of the class. No one was dead

after all! Even though Akschhit was alive, he just couldn’t walk, move

or do anything but survive. Same with Raghav. This was a ridiculous

trip but we were happy to be alive.

                                                                                                   Tejus Banskota
