shirt, which probably read some text long ago (now it was
faded) and white joggers, was kneeling beside him, with a pot of
water in her hands.
“Are you okay?” she asked, her eyes full of concern. “I lost my
mother, “ Ram replied, his eyes tearing up again. This woman
introduced herself as Muna, and explained how she had become
homeless just months ago, after she lost her job. She was now on
the track of going back into the real world, and trying to get a
new job. She agreed to help Ram find his mother no matter how
long it took.
Muna knew Pashupatinath like the back of her hand, and
immediately took Ram over to the guards in the help center, who
launched a search party for his mother. Ram and Muna waited
nervously in the waiting area. Ram did not dare look up, afraid
