Our celebration of Carole Robertson was a weeklong event culminating with a
family scavenger hunt. Our goal was to facilitate family activities and
discussions throughout the week on the life of Carole Robertson and the many
sacrifices made by those that have come before us in the fight for justice and
equality.
We distributed swag bags to each family that included the following to help
Lisa Giuroiu facilitate discussions: The Watson’s Go to Birmingham book & movie,
September 26th Remembering Carole Robertson coloring book and discussion questions, stained
2pm glass craft Set (to represent the 16th Street Baptist Church). Each family also
Via Zoom Cultural received Jack and Jill t-shirts to wear for a competitive family scavenger hunt on
Social/Recreational Saturday morning (Jack and Jill Day) from 8am-12pm. Some of the 14
scavenger hunt missions\activities included family photos with Personal

family fun, Jack and Jill history and pride, and community service all in honor of
Carole Robertson.
