Jack and Jill Day/Carole Robertson Day
Our celebration of Carole Robertson was a weeklong event culminating with a family
scavenger hunt. Our goal was to facilitate family activities and discussions
throughout the week on the life of Carole Robertson and the many sacrifices made by
those that have come before us in the fight for justice and equality.
We distributed swag bags to each family that included the following to help facilitate
discussions: The Watson’s Go to Birmingham book & movie, Remembering Carole

included family photos with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), photos in front of

Jill Day culminated with a 20-minute zoom meeting where we watched a tribute to
Carole Robertson, announced the winners of the family scavenger hunt, and provided
a video collage of the week’s activities. The North Texas Chapter was able to
combine family fun, Jack and Jill history and pride, and community service all in
honor of Carole Robertson.
