homes. The teens had a lively and engaging discussion on the social unrest and systemic racism
that is impacting Black lives which was moderated by Teen President, Sydney Wilson. Our

Activist on how music reflects what’s going on in the world. Also, he shared with the teens the

via Zoom Civic/Legislative impacts of racism in the workplace and society and how he handles those situations when
encountered. Following ‘The Black Lives Matter’ discussion, the teens were hosted by virtual

artist, Derrick, from Kinfolks Studios as he guided them in painting their BLM masterpieces.
Fun times were enjoyed by all and teens were able to show off their creative talents! We
fulfilled the following objectives of this event a) give the teens an opportunity to explore their
thoughts and expression in the midst of social unrest protests, pandemic, and faltering economy
during an election year and b)give the teens an opportunity to have fun and socially engage
virtually with their peers while creating a BLM canvas painting that recorded history.

Jack and Jill Day/Carole Robertson Day
Our celebration of Carole Robertson was a weeklong event culminating with a family scavenger

of Carole Robertson and the many sacrifices made by those that have come before us in the
                                          fight for justice and equality.
